Giveaway Time!
I’ve been wanting to do something special for my readers/subscribers for awhile and since it is the season of giving, it occurred to me that now would be the perfect time to have a special giveaway!
One lucky reader will be receiving this special Olio clutch featuring the Celosia print in Red Rumor from Tulisan.
I love all things Tulisan. The prints are so bright and cheerful and the quality of each product is impeccable. I happen to write for this brand, but I picked out this clutch and paid for it with my own bucks. I would love to buy each subscriber a great gift like this, but Mama ain’t got that kind of cash (but I do wish everyone good luck!).
All you have to do to enter is:
- Subscribe to WanderlustandWonder.com
- Leave a comment below sharing what your favorite holiday tradition is. It doesn’t have to be related to Christmas; any special holiday tradition will enter you in the contest.
- Only one comment allowed per person.
The winner will be chosen at random at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23nd and notified by email. It doesn’t matter where you live, if you win I will mail you this lovely clutch. Should the winner for some reason not claim her/his prize, then another will be randomly selected.
I love my Tulisan clutch. It holds everything, and doubles as a wallet too. Tulisan makes such lovely gifts. Have a look at their website to find out more.
P.S. you may have noticed the blue expatsblog.com badge in the right hand corner of this page. I entered a blogging contest for the first time. If you have a couple minutes to spare please have a look at my post and leave a comment of ten words or more below it. I’d appreciate the support and would love to read your comment!
Happy Holidays! And, good luck!
~Melany.
this is so pretty. following your blog now. glad I clicked through. ;)
Welcome! Don’t forget to share your favorite Holiday tradition, to throw your name in the hat to win the Tulisan clutch : ) Good luck!
Seeing as I love this blog, and I WANT that beautiful clutch, I have to enter this contest :-). Being a family of wanderers ourselves, we don’t have a lot of traditions that stay the same year after year. But Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and regardless of what far flung country we may be in, we always celebrate it surrounded by friends, family, and turkey (even when we’ve had to pay hundreds of dollars to fly that turkey in on its own plane…true story!)
Thanks for keeping us entertained with your great blog, Melany!
Yes but having turkey on Thanksgiving….priceless! Thanks for sharing! :D
Hi Mel, Loved the new article. I made a comment. Is that all I have to do to enter you in the blog contest? I will also post a share to FB. By the way I was in Tulisan the other day to buy a bag for a friend who is moving and they raised their prices about 40 percent. Yikes I can barely afford to buy anything in there anymore. granted its been about 6 months since Ive been in there but still. The bag I paid 450.000 Rp for 18 mo ago is now over 1 mil. So miss you and the family. xoxo, Lucy

Hi Lucy,
Don’t forget to share your favorite holiday tradition to enter to win the giveaway : )
I treasure my Tulisan items. They are such a breath of fresh air in a world of bling and golden hardware. The colors are bright and always generate comments from napkins at a Sunday brunch or when whipping out my holiday coupons while Christmas shopping. Thanks Melany for your wonderful, beautifully written and illustrated blog with a chance to win this clutch…its a win win! (PS…even better would be a win, win…I won!)
Holiday tradition…it started over 30 years ago. Being a family of primarily scorpios the timing of birthdays on the edge of Halloween and on the brink of the Christmas season found me visiting Hallmark just as they were starting to stock their lovely dated Christmas decorations. Every year our children would receive a Christmas ornament as a birthday gift. Now as my children decorate their own trees with their accumulated treasures they have the opportunity to share a childhood memory and kick start the conversation on the value of traditions.
Beautiful tradition! Thank you so much for sharing : )
Hi Melany,
I am moved that you always carry us with you! I want to continue writing with you. It has been an amazing journey. kisses, Melissa from Tulisan – Jakarta.
Thanks Melissa I feel the same way! I am always inspired by your illustrations, products, and work ethic. Thank you for letting me be a part of it all : )
My favorite holiday tradition is putting these little Velcro ornaments that represent the days in December on a felt Christmas tree and watching the tree fill up. My brother and I would/do fight every year over who gets to put up the ornament for that day. On Christmas Eve you get to put a star at the very top of the tree and it gets a little dangerous when we fight over who gets to adorn the tree with the most important decoration.
Lolz! I imagine my brother and I would have the same issues : ) Thanks for sharing!
Lovely giveaway!! My tradition is hot chocolate, cosy jumpers and lots of nights in watching christmas movies :) x
That sounds nice! Thanks for entering the contest :D
Favorite holiday tradition: to help out at least one holiday dinner for those in need and/or homeless. It really helps me to refocus and be thankful for all the things I am blessed with, throughout the year.
Wishing you a magical Christmas season and all the good things in 2014! :)
What a great tradition! Thanks for sharing : )
My fav holiday tradition is making my signature cornflakes cookies. Occasionally joined by my cute 7 yrs old little niece. Then I will pack the cookies, and give them to my family (who live a part from me) and my best friends. It is such a delightful thing to share just a simple things that makes your loved ones feel happy. Anyway, the cookies are so delicious so let me share my secret recipe with you :)
Cornflakes Cookies:
Whisk 200 gr margarine, 200 gr butter, 2 egg yolks, and just a bit of vanili, until white. Lower the speed of your mizer and add 400 gr flour (little by little) to the batter. Add 250 gr cornflakes, mix with spatula. With a spoon, shape the batter into a cookies shape-like, put it in the oven pan and bake it in 170 C for about 15 mins. Let it cool, and Enjoy! :D
Oh ya, i forget to mention the sugar..! whisk 200 gr of sugar with the butter…
Thank you so much for sharing this : ) Happy Holidays!
